Beatronica are the brainchild of drummer Ed Duquemin (Gondwanaland) aka de Beat who drums and mc’s the Show and has received critical acclaim throughout a stellar career, notably an ARIA win and recently a critically acclaimed world music CD “Xenophon” ”understated brilliance 4stars”– Rolling Stone, “this is an excellent album”– ABC Radio He has a fiery ambition for Beatronica, and after extensive work in the UK now has an utterly fresh brand of euro club rock trance with some outstanding Australian talent, like DJ Bass on you guessed it bass and MP Free on guitar.
The group formed in November 2009, and have developed a strong live show which draws from multiple musical cultures, genres with video graphics.
