The Trust is a 6 piece Funk/Dance band comprising of the following members:
Fred was born in Mosul, Dawasa. He immigrated to Australia in 1967. He became a professional Musician, & played with many bands in most parts of Australia. Fred graduated from The University of N.S.W in 1982 with Majors in Industrial Relations and Economics. He worked in the corporate sector for around 15 years. Moved from Sydney to the Gold Coast in 1997, and started his own business. He never gave up Music, having had extensive experience in the music business since 197, when he was in a band called Kwanza Funk with two of the members of Trust, Scott Phillips and Photi Conditsis. Fred is an accomplished singer and plays bass, guitar and congas.
Melanie Saward (aka ‘Mel’) brings a feminine touch to the band as the lead singer and band manager. Mel provides an element of soul when leading songs performed by greats of the Soul/Funk/R & B genre….ladies with big voices…. such as Patti La Belle, Randy Crawford and newer artists like pop/soul sensation ‘Adele’. Mel has been a songwriter since the age of 13 and has played in rock bands, dance bands and even church choirs from the age of 14. She is new to the Gold Coast/Brisbane scene and is ready to inject the market with her vocal style and unbelievable vocal diversity. Her greatest standout feature is her uncanny ability to replicate Michael Jackson numbers, which she does in the TRUST performance, an ability that is rare in the Australian music scene. You will thoroughly enjoy every minute of this young talents performance.
