- Sunflower: A full time alternative, twice-a-week psychedelic, graveyard-shift blues and part-time experimental rock band. Sunflower is known for notoriously wild and passionate onstage shows, trademark magnetic double-neck guitar work, writing profusely and staying alive.
Having completed a debut album with producer/engineer Jeff Lovejoy (The Cruel Sea, Powderfinger, The Resin Dogs, Screamfeeder), Sunflower are promoting their first single ‘Ready’ in the lead up to the anticipated album release in May 2009.
Since exploding onto their local scene in early 2007, Sunflower have gained momentum like a freight train from hell, steaming through shows in their home state and progressing to playing host at premier venues and events across the east-coast. Playing live is the band’s passion, their lifeblood and musical livelihood. Just as likely to give you a blood nose as make you smile, Sunflower seek to create Rock’n’Roll from its glory days in their own design.
