- Described by Time Off Magazine (21/01/09) as "Dance Music Magicians", The Shazam Experience (aka Shazam) is a live house music act based on the Gold Coast and have performed under this name both in Australia and overseas for the last 5 years.
The live act incorporates a DJ set (playing both their own originals and those of other artists) with live instruments (sax, keys, trumpet, guitar, percussions & didjeribone) plus fire visuals, sound effects and live vocals!
Their style of music is house music in all it's forms fused with funk & nu disco. As claimed by In The Mix (01/12/09) "If Crazy Penis ever made sweet love with Deadmau5 their lovechild would be The Shazam Experience".
The live act has rocked dancefloors across the globe with their unique funk filled shows, including performing live for MTV Europe and headlining internationally renowned Mediterranean dance festival Summer Dance (which over the years has graced the likes of Junior Jack, Kid Creme, Darren Emerson and Gabriel & Dresden, to name a few).
The Shazam Experience can perform anything from a live 8 piece show, to a simpler duo set. Their most popular booking is a 4 piece show (DJ, vocalist, plus 2 instrumentalists)
