- After taking his catchy collection of Alternative Pop / Rock songs into the studio in April last year to create the Debut EP "Kaleidoscope the keys", Joel Myles has since played cracker shows around QLD supporting Wolfmother, Jonothan Boulet and Diesel and playing Brisbane's most prestigeous venues "The Hi Fi in west end, The Zoo, The Globe, The Troubadour in Fortitude Valley. Produced by Caleb James (Rhubarb, Yves Klein Blue, Skipping Girl Vinegar) the first single "Smoke and mirrors" hit the airwaves on Nova and countless community radio stations around the country as well as national television with his multi-award winning music video on Video Hits. Joel’s track Sidewalk Stray also from the debut, was shortlisted to the top 125 in the Vanda and Young Song Competition out of 3,156 entries. Joel Myles and his band “Michael Grabbe” – Drums, “Jay Coates” – Bass and “Duckboi Bones” – Guitar, are currently gearing up for a massive east coast tour in June / July. www.joelmyles.com

Kaleidoscope the keys is pressed and ready! Yes! that's right.... there is only a limited run, so if you want a copy you will have to make sure you get to the CD Launch at the Troubadour in April... Date to be announced. For those of you who get to The Lost Weekend Festival early on the Saturday.... there will be a few discs available on the day.

I have uploaded a new track on my profile page. This is taken from the new EP "Kaleidoscope the Keys" due for release in Feb 2010. So its a teaser. Everything is tracking very well for the launch.
I should have another show locked in boxing Day, will give you details when all locked in.
Also, I will be sharing the stage with SHIHAD and the Galvatrons tonight in my Rock band RVLR.

Hey All,
Well it's official. I am locked in to record my debut EP with Producer Caleb James (Yves Klein Blue/ Rhubarb). I am rounding up a bunch of my very talented friends and recording in full band mode a 5-track EP at the end of August.
My drummer Joal Pascoe is currently on tour in the US and Canada with his other band Mary Trembles, upon his return next week- pre-production for the EP will get underway. On the bass guitar... is Jason Coates/ squeezing in his skills around… Continue
