Profile Information

Profile Type:
band
About me:
Combining original, rhythmic, pumping rock ‘n’ roll with a no-holds‐barred, entertaining high energy performance, JAK draws influences from the great rock artists of the 1970‘s like Zeppelin & Black Sabbath, and the modern vibe by the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots & early Guns ‘n‘ Roses.

In 2009, Front man and guitarist Andrew 'Handsy' Hands hit the stage with an outfit going by the name of ‘Red Light Runner’ which was subsequently changed to ‘JAK’ after reconnecting with long-time friend and bass guitarist Pat Burger, officially hitting the stage on October 2010. The band’s line up was complete when in May of 2011 JAK was joined by Skinsman & engineer Craig 'Dockie' Dockray and the following month, Lead Guitarist Kane Vestey was welcomed into the fold.

Since hitting the scene in 2010 JAK has already made their TV debut on The Late Nite Show, have received airplay in the USA, UK, Ireland, Scotland, El Salvador, Lebanon, Romaina and Serbian radio, for their song “High Rolla”. They’ve also been invited to share the stage with iconic acts such as The Radiators on multiple occasions and also ‘1927‘, Daryl Braithwaite and, to add to their list of achievements, were LOUD competition Grand Finalists.

JAK’s mission is to bring back the the gritty, flamboyant rock show with quality musicianship. “We just want to give our audiences a great rock ‘n’ roll show, that’s what it’s all about.” Says Handsy. “We, as a band, love writing music, we hunger for playing live and live for rock ‘n’ roll.”

Hey Andrew,
sorry for bugging you with more questions,
for the show tomorrow, is it 18+?
because we don't want to make our underage friends drive/train
all the way up to Brisbane and find out they can't get in.

and also, our Guitar amps are rather small,
will they be micro-phoned withe the PA?
they can do the job if they aren't, but there is a 80w (ashton)
which we sometimes have trouble with
and VOX amp that i think is fairly capable.

Thanks, Ben

Hey,
I was wondering what equipment and stuff we'd need for the stepp inn on the 18th?
we have all our own equipment, but out PA isn't the greatest quality,
so we were just wondering if there is one provided because of the venue or something,

and also what time you want us to get to the venue?

thanks,
Ben.

we have some demo's but they are nearly 1-2 years old now,
cause we plan to record a proper CD next year during January or February,
when we have some more time, but some live tracking demos on www.myspace.com/resetlifeband
and we play Pop-Punk, but have some heavier songs if we need them.

We'd be willing to play any shows, and would love to be a support band
in a show.

thanks, we'll probably check out the Tempo then,
it sounds really great

we've been together for about 2 years now,
and we've done a couple of shows at
CWA hall, shed 5, at our old school, and some other small stuff,

and we have 1 or 2 shows next year that are planned

hey,
thanks for that :)

and yeah, we'd definitely be interested
in playing shows in Bris as well.

Ben.
