- Control Gadgets is an Electronic engineering and Software house that also does great sound. We are nerds that like the challenge of making excellent sound.
We have a old school 4000W JBL PA with 4 sends of fold-back. You may have seen it around at Wallabies (Band Comp) and Coome rocks (Coomera Lodge). We also do a PA that is controlled by an iPad or touch panel. Allowing a decent mix from a small system when you can't put a desk in the crowd.
I started doing sound in the late 80's (yeah I'm 45) I did it for a job for about 10 years. I run a few in house gigs over the years. Worked with heaps of known bands. Ian Moss, Radiators, Kevin Borich, gawd There are so many... I worked with Madison Kat, Wicked Lester, Rumours (The fleetwood Mac experience) a lot about 10 years ago before I sold everything.
Now I do sound it for spare cash and a bit of fun. I like a challenge. We have done the sound for the Talle Valley Jam fest for the past 5 years I think. I also play guitar in a duo and have been in a few bands over the years.
We can do 100dB sound that sounds good if you are prepared to co-operate! We also do 10 minute changeovers for battle the bands.
What makes me Happy? When punters track me down after a set to tell me about how much they liked the sound. I get that most nights. (Head swell)

** PRICES **
We are not cheap but we do care.
$330 (inc GST) for a single band, Basic PA, 4 wedges + Drum fill (Depending on the load too)
$440 for the whole PA. (Basic lighting)
Extra bands cost more. $110 each.
We have a DMX light show and Black stage curtains, bars etc. ($110)
All prices include GST (You can claim it back at the end of the year)
