David Aurora posted an eventBeard growing, pick throwing, guitar slinging, song singing, unknown and unsigned Gold Coast performer David Aurora can't write a bio for shit. But he's racked up a few years and miles running up and down the east coast of Australia screaming long winded stories at strangers with the help of microphones (and sometimes without them) while bashing away on an acoustic guitar, piano or (heaven forbid) harmonica.
2007 saw the release of his first record, An Exercise In Futility, which garnered mixed reviews (his dad thought it was shit, but his mum said some nice things). In 2010 he released Paradise Is Burning which showed definite signs of growth in both songwriting and performance. Since then David Aurora has written loads of material, played stacks of shows, and basically worked his butt off to make sure that the soon-to-be-recorded third record is solid as a rock.
If you're intelligent enough to realise that bios written in the third person are meaningless tripe that only serve to placate self-important promoters with god complexes and Wiki editors, you'll probably find out all you really need to know by either giving one of the aforementioned records a spin or getting off the couch and going to see David Aurora actually play some music in person. If not, I just gladly wasted your time, and trust me, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
