If Tommy Emmanuel & Rodrigo y Gabriela all had an 'open relationship' with Andy Mckee & Kaki King, Blake Noble would be the result. Blake has been described as "John Butler on speed" and a "Freak of nature". Words can hurt though, so let's not forget that Blake also writes some beautiful melodies for eager ear holes, using harmonics and percussive elements. A drummer first, Blake taught himself how to play guitar 15 years ago and has focused on 12-string guitar for 8 years. It's lucky Blake is a nice dude, because he is one of those annoying people that plays every instrument. Two years ago he quit his shitty job, sold all his stuff, and decided to play music full time. He moved out of his apartment on the beach, and into a lovely new tent on a hostel campground where he has been teaching guitar and didgeridoo. For two years (on & off between touring) he has quietly been developing some of the most intense percussive music anyone has seen since Michael Hedges, even playing in the style of Erik Mongrain (or the movie August Rush) called 'Lap Tapping' - but with 12 string guitar. A unique and original musician with a killer live show. If you don't know Blake Noble yet, you should.
