- A Delayed Reaction is a five-piece band hailing from Australia's party capital the Gold Coast, and they have the Rock & Roll to save your soul!
ADR started out as a Punk band heavily influenced by 90's So-Cal bands, but over the years has become progressively heavier by combining elements of metal, hardcore and straight-up rock and roll all while staying true to their punk rock roots.
The band are known for their explosive live shows which has seen them support Australia and the Worlds best including Strung Out, No Use for a Name, Lagwagon, Pulley, Bodyjar, A Secret Death, House VS Hurricane, Ink, Kisschasy, Lynchmada and King Mungi to name a few.
The band have toured the East Coast of Australia once of the back of their Debut EP, and have just finished recording their second EP 'KARMAGEDDON' with renowed producer/drummer James Balderston (A Secret Death, Mourning Tide, Against).
The new CD is by far the bands best recording to date and combines thick walls of guitars, backed up by a relentless rhythm section, topped of by vocalist Bennys new harder edged styled vocals. Imagine a Mack Truck driven by AC/DC having a head on collision with a Steam Train overtaken by a bunch of unruly punks and your getting close!
The recording process was much more natural for their second effort with all drums being recorded live to keep the feel and intensity of the bands live shows. A total of 7 different axes were used to record the guitar tracks, with the boys opting for vintage amps and effects to capture the real, raw tones needed to complement the music. The result? A balls-out, original and powerful punk/hardcore record which burrows itself deeper and deeper into the listeners subconcious with every listen.
With the fresh EP set for release towards the end of 2009 and an arsenal of new material ready to unleash upon audiences, A Delayed Reaction will be bringing a party like no other to a venue near you soon! Rock!
