New Stage in Southport
I was just reading about the big construction site at Southport, because I saw on a sign down there that it will include a new "events lawn"..

I'm hoping it was going to be like river stage.. haha.. but still maybe they could put a few concerts on there.. on the gccc website it says "There will be a huge events lawn, to host some of the city’s largest and most exciting events including the Gold Coast Airport Marathon and Carols by Candlelight."..

Hey Mike,
yeah I was under the impression it was going to be a big stage (ala riverside stage) so we can get some more touring bands stopping by and a big stage for local festivals.
It looks good, hopefully will create a bit of a live music hub.
