hey, i play guitar [ rock and heavy metal] , heavy metal is my first love..i am a guitarist but also an amazing drummer..double kick my specialty. the gold coast needs a change of music scene as the live music atm is crap...give me a call on 0266763816 , or google marlon mcdonald to see some muck around guitar and drum stuff i put on there for fun.....i have a randy rhoads amp , and a pearl drum kit as well plus numerous guitar pedals....been jamming with some dudes in byron but they dont seem to be motivated enough which I AM..... cheers marlon
If you're still looking for a bassist, i'd be willing to have a jam and see if i can fill the void.

Hi Chris,

I've been singing a'cappella for many years (have 4 National Gold Medals for Barbershop) I know it sounds kinda nerdy but it actually makes for a strong acurate voice. I am now stepping away from the art form and back towards my original love of Rock (Dio, Kiss, Floyd, etc..) and have bought a Les Paul and Fender Hot Rod Deluxe to go with the theme. Not much of a lead player but am happy to play rhythm or anything else as required.

I also wonder if there might be an innovative new and quirky angle to be explored by mixing smooth, controlled, strong, classic vocal style with raw power rock guitars? Think Evanescence with a male voice and a melancholy lyrical style. Pure classic hard rock telling stories of todays worlds troubles. As Marlon said below the Gold Coast live music scene need a shake up. Let's get together for a jam and see if we all like what we hear?

I'm in Currumbin
