hello emily i write my own songs also and havent really hit a snag i just wanna write with other people and maybe form a band i like rock funk blues jazz and have decent equipment but will be getting better equipment next year if you wanna chat bout songs music or whatever gimme an email ne time

Hi Emily.  The Lamplights are doing a song writing workshop as part of the Kirra Cultural Centre opening on Sunday.  There's music all day and the workshop is on at 11am at the old school on top of Kirra hill.  It's all free.
