Looking for a Drummer and a Singer to form a Hard Rock/Metal band with an 80's Influenced sound
Looking for a Drummer who can keep a good heavy rock drum beat, good timing and good rythym..it doesn't have to be too fancy. Also need a Singer with a powerful rock voice and also sounds like an 80's rock voice..no screaming or growling just a good rock voice but also has a bit of a metal edge to it. We have a got a Guitarist and a Bass player, just need Drummer and a Singer. The type of band we'd like to form is just Heavy hard rock riffs with shredding guitar solos, solid drumming and a decent rock vocalist..and also having catchy grooves in the songs (covers & originals) It would be great to have someone reply back...cheers :) p.s. by the way, the area we live in is Gold Coast/Tweed

hey dude,
im new on the coast, havnt played for a while but used to play alot of one minute silence, system of a down, grinspoon, jimmy eat world, lincon park and all that type of music....
always chose to learn the songs right and never fudge the harder parts... used to get together with a bass, and lead guitar a few times a week but never really did much except have fun and enjoy pumping out good tunes....not sure what ur thinking, but let me know .... thanks for your time, charlie

yeah i just wanna get a band happening, jamming, having fun and also try to get gigs as well. when i play guitar i just love doing shredding solos and catchy hard rock riffs with a lot of distortion and when i play drums its very sort of led zeppelinish but i add a bit of double kick to it and some fancy stuff haha..thats probably the best way i can explain it. and for vocals i just perfer clean instead of the screaming stuff, thats basicly it really. yeah ive jammed with a lot of people and have been in 2 or 3 bands but didnt really get anywhere haha a lot of the guys ive jammed with, they either lost interest or they just got to lazy and eventually stopped jamming, also lack of communication..its a shame. by the way what instrument do you play or what do you perfer to play? and yeah if your keen to have a jam sometime we should do it for sure..where abouts on the goldy do you live?

sounds good, i play drums only..... i live in nerang, but my kit is still down south... i have a friend coming uo soon and he'll bring it up with him.. kinda miss it...
I'll keep intouch and keen to get back into it.. have a couple songs id like to get dialed

Im a jack of all trades muso, play guitar,drums and bass. i got an electric kit at the moment to jam with and if things get serious i will have no probs getting a real kit for gigs, send me a holler if your keen, thanks!

I'm a female singer and may be forming a band with another vocalist to form an 80's influenced rock band - influences like Guns N Roses, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi ... also Led Zeppelin, Queen, etc.

Yeah im still interested, i work monday to friday but on weekends im free. So i was thinking that if i dont end up meeting use at the place we could organise a jam sometime real soon...thats if i cant make the meeting. Ive been playing guitar and drums for about 7 and a half years and for the last couple of years, ive been that keen to just try and find people that are into 80's rock especially my age group...its quite difficult lol, so yeah i really do wanna catch up with you people...cheers again

I was planning on meeting some muso's over the weekend in Southport, so if you're interested let me know. I wanna get the band started asap, and yeah, we have a lot of 80s influences - Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Guns N Roses, etc.
By the way, Im turning 17 and the drummer is only a year younger ... just to let you know :)
