The Australian Communications and Media Authority last month decided to exempt digital radio from the 25% Australian Music quota required to be filled by analogue stations.
The fact that a greater percentage of the Australian music being filled by existing commercial stations is older, already proven music (Chisel, AC/DC etc.) makes this revelation a little disturbing I think. With digital radio becoming increasingly popular shouldn't the powers that be want to exhaust every avenue when it comes to exposing new Australian music?
Thoughts?
