GC Bands - Gold Coast Live Music Scene

Hey kids, stupidly busy right now trying to organise this stuff, so sorry if this seems a bit ragged.

We're gonna raise money for the Red Cross Victorian bushfire appeal this Friday (13th Feb) at the Shark Bar, and next Friday at The Loft. Details are changing and morphing so check my myspace for updates (www.myspace.com/davidauroramusic). The basic gist though is the Shark Bar will probably be $12, with about half of that (hopefully more) going to the Red Cross, and the Loft will be $10 with ALL of that going to the Red Cross. Plus there will be donation buckets going around.

Some of the actss involved include NR&D and Jackson Dunn. More acts TBA.

If anyone wants to keep an eye on things and expand on this it would be much appreciated, there aren't enough hours in the day right now haha.

Cheers
David

Oh, and I nearly forgot. I'm trying to get local bands to donate some CD's and merch that we could sell on the nights and put the money made straight into the donation buckets. And so far everyone is being pretty tight with this shit. Come on people, I cut records for a living, I know for a fact that donating 5 or 10 CD's won't send you bankrupt, that's less than $20 worth of stock! If you can help out let me know on 0408 965 150 and I can come pick up whatever you can donate, but I REALLY need to do it soon cause I got a lot to do to make these gigs happen.
Awesome Dave! I'm going to hit the Loft! See you there!
Make sure to add it as an event once you finalize and we can start sending out invites!

Also for anyone who cant make it but still wants to help out, just go to https://www.redcross.org.au/
hey man. have you hit up the radio stations to put the benefit out there? like on the "community switchboards" or whatever? hit brent up for some cd's - that should be all good.
let me know if you need another artist.
Loft date would suit me best.

kelli- no probs, thanks to all you guys and more who are making it happen
no worries mate. thanks for reply
Alright guys, first one of these shows is tonight. The lineup is as follows:

Servants Of Stone/End To Chivalry/David Aurora/Black Neon Shadows/NR&D

It's $12 entry, with ALL of that going to the Red Cross (we will have our letter of authentication from them there too in case anyone wants some proof). Also all merch sold will have every cent go into the donation buckets, which will be floating around the room through the night for your spare change. And last but not least we have some amazing things to auction off, again with all money going straight to the donations.

Doors open at 8pm, hope to see you there. Don't let the rain today scare you off, fire is a a lot worse than a little rain
It aint over yet kids.

Friday the 20th will see Chris Stewart, myself (with some special guests, my brother Daniel and our good friend David Freeman) and Jackson Dunn play some acoustic tunes at The Loft. 8PM kickoff again, with $10 on the door this time. Same setup though- all proceeds (cover charge, donations, merch sales and raffles), that's ALL proceeds, going to the Red Cross Victorian bushfire appeal.

Last Friday at the Shark Bar we raised over $2000, and we'd really like to double that if possible for our friends down south.
