GC Bands - Gold Coast Live Music Scene

pretty self explanatory..

a week before my 18th the troccadero closed and i almost cried, in every RAVE and TIMEOFF i'd see my favorite bands were playing and i wasn't old enough...
what have we got left? southport RSL and elsewhere?

it is a shame the troc closed. i really liked the smaller venue part of the troc, on the side. it was so good for little intimate gigs.
Yeah it was a shame. There's not much left for bigger bands but there's heaps of intimate venues on the gigging circuit that cater for numbers from 100-300 0r so (Waxy's, the Basement, Soundlounge, the Loft... as well as those that Beck Cains mentioned).
We also get a ton of Festivals between the Goldy & Byron

Yeah the Troc was sweet as, I rembember playing there in the Club house room and the main room stage from 1999 through to about 2003 I think.

Was a great opportunity to get big bands through to support. Lets hope that the new Broadwater stage has enough planning to host some events and the GCCC can work with commercial touring booking agents there. :)

CLUB UNITE ! .. those were the days...
and then there was the Playroom, now those really were the days.
