Centered around the vocals of Dale Buchan and Josephine Cubis, The Firetree are an independent five-piece band from Byron Bay, Australia. Their energetic live shows blend their trademark indie folk sound with a genuine rock edginess which has earned the band a loyal fanbase on in their native Australia. Following in the tradition of Angus & Jul...ia Stone and Stars, The Firetree are brought to life with sublime harmonies and the contrast between two different, yet complimentary vocalists. Holly Terrens is a very talented singer/songwriter who also plays piano and flute. After many years of flute practice and music theory lessons, she found she had naturally gravitated towards songwriting as a way to express her creativity.

Mostly self-taught, he was given his first guitar on his fourteenth birthday, and began writing music as a means of both creative outlet and personal healing. His eternal optimism is perhaps a result of his cathatic quality evident in his compositions. Vastly expressive, with lyrics that are honest and raw, his music mirrors his deeply perceptive understanding of relationships and life.
