Genre-bending CHEAP FAKES kick off the autumn season of Live at Bond's free music series!
Cheap Fakes are a local six piece soul ensemble whose eclectic fusion of funk, pop, reggae and dance music has been captivating audiences since 2009.
Their off-beat guitars and catchy melodies have earned them party favourite status across Queensland and interstate, with music that is engaging, uplifting and great to dance to.
Their debut album, Stones and Sticks was released independently in July 2010, quickly reaching number one on Brisbane’s 4ZzZ FM’s Top 20 charts and receiving regular air play on Triple J. Sarah Howells of Triple J’s Roots ‘n’ All program voted Stones & Sticks in her Top 10 albums of 2010.
Cheap Fakes are Hayden Andrews (vocals & guitar), James Watson (bass), Damian Campbell (drums & percussion), Joshua Appleby (saxophone), Scott Bignell (trumpet) and Stephen Smith (baritone sax).
